    holy shit.

    i was talking to my friend whos a system admin for an email marketing company in calif, where you submit email lists and they take care of the mailings and such, was just telling me about all the servers.

    his servers sends out 100k/second, does about 6 million emails an hour.

    thats a lot of power.

                  when you are in a high rise building a big city, with a lot of employee's, people are paying 1000$-5000$ a month to have these mailings done, they are all double-optins they are in charge of the remove emails, the sending they take care of everything, most of the sendings are for netflix, dvds, jokes. no adult goes through there. not even pharmacy.

                      Double opt-in? You said the customer submits lists. If that's so, how would this company know whether they were opt-in or not?
