oh, and I forgot about the unions... with around 1,5 million members if im correct... mostly uneducated dumber than dumb followers and separatist at 90%... add to that the influenceable 18-22 crowed who are separatist at around 70%... which 4/5 of them have never in their life read the political section of a news paper... But why would they read that.. their favorite singer or comics tells them that federalists are idiots...
The weird thing is they were at about 90% separatist couple years ago.. when it was the really "cool" thing to be.... funny

The rest of separatists are mostly people that dont speak english at all and are scared to death about having to learn english... They somehow think that separating will change something... lol The PQ knows how to manupulate them.. brilliant!

Maybe because the rest of Canada is always English speaking. We have a lot of people who are not originally from Canada and their native tongue is not English. When they move to an English speaking province, they learn English, I would not expect them to learn French too.

Although all of the other provinces are English speaking we all HAVE to learn French in school, like it or not. Currently they start in junior kindergarten, and it is mandatory to continue it until Grade 9 in English schools. That is ELEVEN years of French! We also have French Immersion schools for English speaking families to send their children to where only French is spoken at the school and we also have French high schools. 95% and up of the children who attend those schools are from English speaking families.

Every label, every form etc. has to have both English and French on it or it can not be sold. Is all of this not seen by you as an attempt to recognize ONE provinces French culture?

We spend enormous amounts of money to cater to a MINORITY of the population (yes 25% is a minority). If that isn't enough I am not sure what you expect. Many people in Quebec know English and perhaps they expect us to all know a bit of French but you have to understand that Quebec has constant English speaking visitors, many radio stations, TV programming etc. are all in English, they get to practice their skills. The rest of the province does not get that practice. Unless a language is put to use, you slowly use it.

A friend of my sisters wanted to practice his profession in a gov't job. He had taken French in school but discontinued it after Grade 9. Eight years later after finishing school he was told he had to pass a French fluency test in order to get the job...he was unable to. He went back to school to take French classes while working another job. A year later, after tutors and classes he passed the fluency test and got the job. It has now been 5 years and he has to take "refresher" courses every other year. Why? His job says he has to know French so that he can speak to a French Canadian if the need arises. Problem is, that in 5 years he has only had to do it ONCE. We DO cater to and try to recognize the French culture, but you are only ONE province and we all can't become French to please you. Many people live in areas where there is no one in their town that speaks French, yet every child learns it in school. Give us a break!

Very informative. I live in Quebec city and I learned interesting things, I've never been into politic that much, honnestly I hate it.

I have absolutely nothing against english speaking people, actually all my nest friends in the industry are englos... But Englos must realize a thing, those French who also speak english (sometimes perfectly, sometimes less like me ) have an edge over those who speaks only english. We are able to conduct business with English Canada, US, but also in Europe.

Same here . Almost everyone I know speaks at least two languages , many three or more . Only a small minority , who dont have lifes , really care about that bullshit .

French canadian here and i aint separatist. My sister lives in BC for 3 years now with her ontario's boyfriend. I think what we hear about frenchie isn't the reality at all.

Of course there is those who speak only french and don't wanna go outside their province, but there's a bunch of people who learned english and want to become pretty good to be able to communicate with people all around the world.

The point is, i like where i live, i'll probably live here all my life, but i am proud to be canadian.... We hear only those who speak as separatist but if we're still part of canada, that's because more than half of population wanna stay in canada.

As for Slim comment, you're right. Maybe we should separate so we can get fucking rich
