Only Google knows for sure and they change the rules often. Its also a matter of luck as googlebot crawls the web. Like I said, the more backlinks the better the chance and the higher the PR the better.Originally posted by Paraskass

WG prolly knows better than most how it all works. Google also explains how to get listed on your site and the basics on how they work. They don't give away alot of information though on timing or placement.

I made a new site and linked it to a PR4.. It took me around 6 weeks to get listed on google.

I linked a new site to one of my PR3s and it was picked up within a couple weeks... It got crawled by slurp and msn alot sooner though.. In fact Inktomi's slurp seems to be coming around my stuff a lot. Maybe because I've got PI on one of the sites down the line??Comment

Your link on a daily crawled PR3-5 site and it'll be indexed within 48h.Deep crawls once a month or less so you got to be patient or buy lots of links.

Ugh, google drives me CRAZY sometimes. I have a new site (opened it on Aug 24) that has a good amount of links from PR 5 and PR 4 sites and Google still has not deep crawled my site. The only page that is listed is the index page.
