No, that wont work. it WILL generate his teen galleries (or whatever category) but there is no line template variable to add a number after/before the gallery.
It would generate :
Blah
Blah
Blah
He wants
Blah 001
Blah 002
Blah 003
nothing to do with the thumbnail count
