Over 500 lurkers here and several posters offering $$$, sig space, appraisals, etc for a copy. If Freeme will strip all limitations after you purchase a license, why not everyone throw in a small contribution to a Paypal account and have someone not US based buy a license, freeme it, and distribute it on their non-US server or via proxy? The volunteer would probably even make a small profit.
Alternatively, if people think a cracked copy would make tons of money, enough to even offset a lawsuit, why not just buy a copy and freeme it yourself? A $50 investment for the implied return sounds cheap to me.
As a US based content provider, I wouldn't be interested in option B, but I'm curious enough to participate in option A...just to see what the fuss is all about.
