    Are Mexican jumping beans banned now?

    I haven't seen any real ones in about 20 years. When I was a kid, we'd buy these at 7-11. It's a seed with a moth larvae inside that moves around when the larvae moves.

    I see beans in stores now, but they are plastic capsules with ball bearings inside...definitely not the same thing. I wonder if the real thing got banned since they eventually hatch and a live moth comes out...not sure what the effect on the enviornment would be if these moths aren't native to the U.S.

              my friend got me a whole bag like 3 months ago on his trip from mexico.

              i ended up getting rid of the shit because they were annoying as
              hell.

                  I remember going over to Tijuana with my dad many years ago and bought a few of them. I only saw them one other time in the States since then.

                      They had a comeback a couple of years back. Maybe 4.5. I bought a couple.

                              I know you can buy them online, that doesn't answer my question of them being banned or not though. You can buy lots of illegal things online.
