So, Rosie, would you be getting a merchant account and having CCBill process on the merchant account, or processing by yourself on your own merchant account?

Is there a significant advantage to doing it either way, and wouldn't it be protection (to a point) for you to use a IPSP and THEIR merchant account?
For us I think the ideal would be to have our own (independant from CCBill) merchant account, but stay with CCBill as back-up processor.

I don't feel particularly protected by going through a 3rd party biller right now. We got hammered by GloBill and now with all the current iBill problems I don't feel that ANY 3rd party processor is invulnerable. That said, I do believe that CCBill will be among the last 3rd party processors standing
