shoulda had him sign a nda for SURE especially if it was a sensitive idea, secondly dont work with people you dont know or dont have good references
And like someone said earlier, after you release it will only be a matter of weeks before another company copies you, assuming your idea is good hehe. But i agree that beeing the first to do it holds its own value...
