Let's all have a look at some definitions of the word terrorism and then take another look at the list above shall we?

- As defined by the FBI, "the unlawful use of force against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population or any segment thereof, in the furtherance of political or social objectives". This definition includes three elements: (1) Terrorist activities are illegal and involve the use of force. (2) The actions are intended to intimidate or coerce. (3) The actions are committed in support of political or social objectives.

- (From Latin terror: "to frighten.") The sustained clandestine use of violence for a political purpose.

- use of terror, especially the systematic use of terror by the government or other authority against particular persons or groups; a method of opposing a government internally or externally through the use of terror

- Any act including, but not limited to, the use of force or violence and/or threat thereof of any person or group(s) of persons whether acting alone or on behalf of, or in connection with, any organisation(s) or government(s) committed for political, religions, ideological or similar purposes, including the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public or any section of the public in fear.

- Use of violence to achieve political ends. Many would restrict the definition to include only those acts committed by non-government groups, but state terrorism is also a major factor in the social world.

- Any act of resistance by the Palestinians

Nicaragua in particular was exclusivly the work of terrorism by the US during their 'contra' war. This cannot be denied.

We could debate every individual case... and I don't think every country on that list applies, and it's not the best way to show how the US has acted as a terrorist state in the past, but the gist of what he was trying to say comes through, so how about a little more rational thought and less slander and aggression?
