maybe you should take a look at Klixxx.com and see who their #2 source of traffic is, week in and week out before making comments like that.

I am sure there are a lot of sites smaller than Klixxx that will show CL as being their #1 source of traffic. If someone took over CL and put minimal effort into it CL would be an extremely good investment.

I have no doubt about the quality of traffic, and if it weren't being brokered by yourself I wouldn't have offered such a generous offer. Newbie webmaster traffic is great, maybe the people behind Porn Resource could put it to use.

newbie traffic? haha, you should see some of the names that are registered and play there regularly, far from being newbies . . . in fact, I would be willing to bet that there are a lot of newbies that don't even know CL exists since I stopped pimping it almost a year ago.

Klixxx updates weekly, and Alexa . . . . well, let's be realistic here, Alexa is not really a very reliable source.

However, there is no question that CL has probably dropped but remember, I was their #1 pimp when I was still with Mogul Networks, so essentially no one has been promoting it since March '03, yet their numbers of registered webmasters still go up daily.

Like I said, with little effort and promo the owner can hold a virtual monopoly on adult webmaster traffic. When you look at the amount people are paying for sig spots on GFY (ie: $8k/mo) CL is going to be a steal.

how much outstanding banner impressions, site ads are owed to webmasters in contentlotto (unearned income). because if just decided to reset these outstanding to zero you would piss off a lot of people. And if you honoured them you would be incurring expenses until it was all honoured.

3. site ads are not set by a number owed, so there is nothing to reset to zero, there is virtually no expense to running CL, even the b/w usage is extremely low. I doubt that you would want to eliminate all the site ads on there since most of them are your game sponsors, and the ones that make the members keep coming back.

Don't get me wrong, the traffic has dropped since its heyday, but that is because no one is promoting the site any longer, however, there are new games/sponsors added fairly regularly. Minimal promotion can bring CL back to what it once was, and more.

CL has perks like a FPA in Klixxx magazine, which goes for $2,500/mo.

According to Mogul: "The software it uses is compiled code, there is no source."

So that sounds like a negative to me. No source code.

The software it uses is compiled code, there is no source. It has a lifetime license so there are no license fees. The DB is open of course so one could code further things using it OR our software company is available for future coding needs.



Does Content Lotto have any revenue presently?


Depends how you look at it. For one, we get a full page ad each month in Klixx magazine. This ad runs $2500 per month and is free. You will note, we are the #2 referrer in the biz as per Klixxx refer tracker. There are a couple advertisers who have deals closing in the coming months who paid about $1500 per year of advertising. For the past year or so I have not solicited advertisers in any way really and turned some down as I used ContentLotto.com to launch my own businesses. For this, it has been priceless. There is no better advertising mechanism in the biz in my opinion. We also have a button spot on klixxx.com soon as we send em one.






Does Content Lotto have any binding contracts or only word of mouth agreements?

Oral only at this time.



Will Mogul provide any support during the transition?

Of course. There is no way I could just sell and dump. I will need to instruct the new owner to ensure smooth transition.


Will he indemify the purchaser against any liability with regards to the prior operation of the website?

The corporation is going out of business (again, leaving the industry) so anything is rather moot. As the site is sponsor based, we owe no prizes.


What backend database does Content Lotto work under?

Is he going to fix any remaining code bugs or is it being sold AS IS?

Both. Selling AS-is but will be doing some minor fixes at time of sale for the new owner. There are a couple issues (some already fixed) that we need to update. Additionally, if there is something minor desired, I would add it. Furthermore, the new owner can get additional programming through the software company.


What about MogulBoards.com or other domain properties?

I can add mogulboards.com if the owner really wants it. Best to start a new board then throw a redirect on this domain. I don't need it so makes no difference either way to me.


Can you provide any statistics about # of visitors, uniques, plays per month, etc.?

Right now there are 6,888 registered webmasters. I make no claims as to the accuracy of any data. ContentLotto.com should be a whole lot more but has been neglected for the past year do to me not being around. The plays have dropped recently due to me not running tournaments as planned, taking out the coin items, etc.. This is all something that can be remedied in minutes by the new owner.

We have not actively promoted contentlotto.com in almost a year, and you have seen it grow. When we were actively working with the site, we would do up to 10,000 plays a day.

The new owner will have the option of adding Keno to the site. Keno 1.0 was released and I can update the site to have this if desired. Additionally, we have fixed some other casino issues like Video Poker & the royal flush.

Getting sponsors for the site should be an easy task as I have turned away many in the past. Right now we are removing Focus Adult from the site. There are a two more sponsors that want in but I have not added them as I am leaving.

I asked Mogul this specific question and his response was, as pointed out earlier, that there is no source code, it is compiled.

I have to add something here. When I left Mogul Networks a year ago, ContentLotto was getting over 10,000 game plays a day. That is 10,000 webmaster visits to the sponsors pages. Not button or banner views, those were actual visits to the sponsors pages.

When it first started we were send a couple hundred visitors to each sponsor, when games like blackjack and poker were added it went to 400+ a day.

Now, you tell me one other webmaster resource that can come even close to those numbers. Take into consideration the cost of advertising at CL, and we were virtually giving it away.

Talk to XBiz or anyone else that will talk to you and see how many clicks the buttons on there send on average. They don't even come close.

While I was the primary promoter of CL, when I left there were less than 5,000 webmasters. Now a year later they have almost 7,000, and that is with no one really pushing it.

So yeah, with a little effort, the new owner can hold a virtual monopoly on quality webmaster traffic.

Okay, last notice on this. I have talked to Mogul and he is very eager to sell. Bids are coming in that are only 4 figures that he has not rejected. Someone is going to get a great deal.
