Cindy was senselessly mutilated and killed by a hit and run drunk driver. She was just two months away from her 10th birthday, and her life was taken from her, and from us. Cindy was a very bright, active little girl with a love for life. She always made me laugh. The 20-year anniversary of her death is coming up in just two short weeks, and it just doesn't seem possible that she would be turning 30 this coming November, when she didn't live to see 10. The man who killed her was sentenced to a psychiatric unit for a short while and was awarded with time served for his jail sentence
