    Russia FINALLY sees the light

    MOSCOW - President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is preparing for pre-emptive strikes against terrorists, as Chechen warlord Shamil Basayev claimed responsibility for a school hostage-taking and other terror attacks in Russia that have claimed more than 430 lives.

                  Yes, Putin, an old-school soviet and former KGB spy, is now using terrorism as an excuse to sieze more power and repeal virtually all off the democratic advancement Russia had made since the Cold War ended. Under the new Kremlin dictatorship he will use the 'Bush Doctrine' as cover for limiting freedom and individual rights, and when tens of thousands of innocent people start piling up dead we won't have shit to say about it. Some of you rednecks might cheer that right now .... but, in the past 50 years, did America have more to fear from a dictatorship in Iraq, or a dictatorship in Russia?

How do you feel about innocent Russian civilians living in Chechnya being killed and sold into slavery? This happened BEFORE the war was declared, mind you. No Russian person in their right mind would want to live there now.

                                                                  They asked for the independence, they got it a few years back. Do you know what happened? They then decided that ALL muslim people should separate from Russia... even if those muslims were happy to live under Russia.
                                                                  They didn't decide that using peaceful means either, like normal people would do. They went out and once again started robbing and killing people.

                                                                  So the Russian government should just sit back and use diplomatic means? Christ.

                                                                  Of course there are peaceful people everywhere, but get a dose of reality... thanks.

                                                                      Actually I always thought that Israel could be the best friend/partner for Russia. Israeli people have a very good experience in fight against Islamic terrorism (at least much better than the USA has). My respect to Israel.

                                                                                      People like Putin are the cause of all that is happening now in Russia. These terrorists are the result of soviet politics. They are desperate people that the whole world forgot about... What they did recently was terribly wrong and I hope all those responsible will get killed, but as I said earlier, Putin is after the entire country and now he has an excuse to use all means possible.

The terrorists that are responsible for the deaths of Russians are "robbers/murderers". However I can't agree with the fact that innocent Chechnian people will get killed because of them. What's pissing me off is that every attack on a country is being explained as a fight against terrorism. Just like the attack on Iraq...

I'll try to explain this to you... Everyone here head about those kids in Beslan that were killed by Chechen terrorists. But no one knows that whose kids were also no-Russian OSSETINS. FYI, Ossetins are Kavkazian people that much closer to Chechens than to "pure" Russians. However that was a tragedy for WHOLE RUSSIA. Many Russian SWAT soldiers were shot in the back when they were trying to shelter the children. Lots of then died saving the Ossetin kids. But there was NO EVEN A SINGLE RUSSIAN who considers that those solders were killed for nothing. I just wan to say, that EVERYONE who live in Russia (including Chechens) is considered Russian. In a same manner as all those Latin, African, Chinese and other people who live in the USA are considered Americans.
