If you think one group with some pop rap songs can redefine hip hop then you're out of your mind. The only thing they're doing different now is selling to middle class white kids who watch TRL and mom and dad foot the CD bill at the mall. There's nothing that special about what they are doing at all, it's rap, it's commercialized pop rap at that. I'm not much of a rap/hiphop fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I really like what these guys are doing...they create catchy tunes that stick in your head forever...
maybe it's the middle class whiteboy in me ;-)
I can't beleive Metallica won the grammy for metal performance...are the Grammys still trying to apologize for picking Jethro Tull as the first ever winners of the metal grammy?
