                          Hmmm says mine is but I know for a fact it isnt. I burned a copy of XP Pro from a friend the day it came out

                          I do have a legal copy of XP home I actually bought so maybe it all works out in the end

                                      well, I have the original cd here, and I got it from a valid retailer. I'm not gonna bother launching IE to validate what I know

                                      Stupid thingy won't work on firefox.
                                      ..and I'm off.

                                                  True, but my older XP copy for example did not work on autoupdate a few months ago. Somehow people used the same serial as me, and I got locked out.

                                                  AFter 843295894385 complaints, I finally got anew copy from my retailer

                                                                                                                          My Gentoo Linux desktop does not need a serial.

                                                                                                                          I can run Office, Photoshop, Flash, no problems.

                                                                                                                          FAST and so safe...

                                                                                                                          If some Windows app doesn't run on my Gentoo box, I run it under VMware, and if that doesn't work, I'll use my PowerMac G5.
