Was thinking of going to Key West in April to relax and fish. Would like to do a few days of fishing before the heat of the summer kicks in. Anyone have and words on key west? Best places to stay?

I dont remember where we stayed but Key West is awesome! I had an awesome time there. 1 thing you have to do is eat at Crabby Dicks! The have the best sea food and its right in the main street. -

Growing up we had a condo in Marathon and used to go 5-6 times a year. We'd head to Largo and Key West several times a trip. Lots of great seafood and good snorkling.
But we sold it in 1979 and I haven't been back since.
I've heard it's quite the mecca for gays - you and Chris headed down there to relight the flame?

I was there in December and had a great time. Very good vibe in that city and they have some great bars to sit back and chill at.

Just stay within walking distance to Chubasco charters... book full day trips for 2 days, they will break for lunch on a nice island and you and the wife can have a nice picnic or go for a swim. I've been on alot of chartered boats but had the best time with these guys.Originally posted by BradShaw

hotelwise the Doubletree is nice, **** i believe, stayed there last spring break, good hi speed, killer pool, away from oldtown over by the only good beach
renting a house this year for a month for $8500 (peak season)
