How can I make sure I have USB 2.0?

    I have a Dell Inspiron 5100 I picked up around Dec 2003.

I go into System Information click on USB in system summary and it has...

    Intel(r) 82801DB/DBM USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller - 24CD PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24CD&SUBSYS_24C08086&REV_02\3&61A AA01&0&EF

does that mean I'm good to go with USB 2.0?

    Thanks in advance

    Just plug into one.

That is the best way to see if it works with the system.

Anyway I think that all of them are.20 now

dude, my cousin totally fucked up ALL 4 of my home machines USB ports. I have no idea what the fuck he did but ALL front loading USB ports are no longer active!

And they all stopped working after he used them.

Everytime I turn my machine on it detects new hardware but I have no idea what USB driver to use I've reinstalled EVERY USB driver and nothing works.

        use google.

"drive (our review system shipped with a DVD/CD-RW combo drive). The right edge includes a 56Kbps modem jack, while the rear edge provides S-Video out, VGA, FireWire, Ethernet, two fast USB 2.0 ports and the grill for a big fan that keeps all of the components cool."
