No but he can fire her for whatever reason he wants as long as it's not protected by the laws of Alabama because there are certainly no Federal laws against firing someone for their political beliefs.
In GA, you can fire someone if you don't like the way they cut their hair.
Unlike the north the south isn't real big on unions. I'm betting that if there's a union involved, we would have heard about it by now. Or it realizes he had every right to fire her
