Read the article. It say's "her" car in several places....

It also says she worked a bagging machine in a factory. Since when do factories issue company cars to their employees?
It was her own car.
A boss has certain rights when his employee is representing his company in an official capacity. If she were wearing a t-shirt at work that was pro-Kerry maybe he'd have a leg to stand on in telling her to stop wearing it to work or be fired. But her car?
He could have told her to park her car off company property I suppose, but I don't see how sporting a Kerry sticker would impact negatively on anyone's business in the first place.
