My Dad had Heart Surgery today!

Five arteries were by passed, they had no problems. He's been sleeping for the past 4 hours. I'm going to see him after we eat.
    This was quit a day!

always good to hear things went well. And yes, people have not half an idea of how much harm smoking can cause. For example: almost all of you smokers will eventually develop COPD (a combination of chronic bronchitis and emphysema >>> more and more breathlesness).

He's been off them for 3 months but he would have been in better shape if hs quit earlier.

My dad just had that too but he had 4 arteries bypassed,
A human only has 4 main arteries.

All the best for you and your family man.

I just attended a funeral on wednesday for my uncle, he was 58, died of a massive heart attack. On my dads side of the family we all have weak hearts.

And to think i'm still smoking... when will i learn..

I tuly think those are nonsense. Any molecule could be a carcinogen. The question is to what extend they cause cancer. And don't forget: cancer is just one thing, such cancer-causing agents could also decrease risk of developing certain other malconditions

Turboface and I had a hard time when his mom had to have open heart surgery.

She never smoked and she bounced back like nothing was done, I hope your Dad is the same.

Amazing how routine bypass surgery is nowadays. Glad your old man is through the surgery.

Tell him while he's unable to smoke in the hospital I'll smoke an extra carton in his honor!
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!
