im a fan of electronic music as well - i produce it as well as spin it.
i think some people don't see that as a viable form of music when in fact i feel it is just a natural, modern progression of symphonic music from the olden days.
i find it hard for people to argue that the involved, technical rock and roll of the 60s and 70s cannot be construed as some of the purest music ever. a lot of popular music now sucks largely in comparison. i can see how the argument can be made that all kinds of different music these days simply sucks and they are probably right. weve reached something of a musical plateau and are having a lot of difficulty evolving.
