Thanks, but 'on a roll' is an understatement.Originally posted by dirtysouth
Greg's been on a roll lately.
When you get linked to by the Hun it's like you go into slipstream star drive and you have to make sure engineering can keep the warp drive matrix stable or you'll run out of dilithium crystal stability.
Learned my lesson. If you think that stuff rocks wait'll you see what else I have in store.Comment

I think it is fantastic. I love anything really nichey. I know for a fact there are people that get off on that stuff and I think it is great when someone goes out and gets the surfers other people couldn't be bothered hunt.Originally posted by doober

The main thing I've learned in this business is:
Nail that Niche!
One time by sheer accident I stumbled onto a niche. They run hot and cold plus variations inbetween. Made good loot off of it!
The trick is this: If you find some oddball niche that no one is supplying a solid outlet for then jump on it. The reason most don't do it is because they have to develope content and that's too expensive. In my case I can whip up toons regarding any niche and get em' up on the web in a matter of hours.
Basically, make the customer happy for cryin' out loud.
When you have umpteen sites focusing on the same thing your chances of success are limited.Comment

that is how I make all my money from building sites these days. Part of it though is keeping your niche fairly close to your chest so it doesn't become exploited to hell. My biggest seller is something jokingly mentioned on another board two years ago. I did research and it has been making me money ever since (and no I won't say).Originally posted by Greg B

With something like what you are doing with that content it is so 'out there' that most people won't even think about trying to copy you.
I can't sell a teen site to save my life but give me something 'weird' and I am cashing the checks
