    TFT monitor experts

    Anyone ver heard of

    TFT Olorin FrontLine 19 inch?

    The specs looks REALLY good...Well at least when a higher contrast and brightness is better(i thought it was)

    Specs are

    Angle: 170 / 170
    Refresh: 25 ms
    Contrast: 700:1 !!!!!!!
    Brightness: 300 candela

    I never have seen a screen with 700:1 contrast...What does this exactly means? Because the NEC and IIYAMA I was looking at were only 400:1

          it means nothing except it is brighter which you turn down

                  A lot of manufacturers fiddle their numbers. Because a monitor says it has 25ms pixel refresh rate or 700:1 brightness doesn't mean it's true. There was a good article on anandtech about how manufacturers take the best numbers from the tests they do rather than the most accurate.

                      well i did a lot of diggin before i went TFT, and I found samsung monitors we probably the best money could buy. I guess the fact that dell TFT's a rebranded samsungs is an indication.

                      I've got 2x 19" samsung 193T's and seriously, i think they beat anything else out there.

                          Yeah was looking at samsung as well...But then found these.
