I couldn't agree more! Who made it the "norm" to leave the seat down? It's your responsibility to check before you sit ladies...lol! I do however have issues with men who can't aim

yeah, that too
But for me it's more of estetic reasons than being lazy - I don't want to see the bowl if I don't have to - it looks better down. But since my man never puts the lid down I'm thankful that he's got his own bathroom (but he still uses mine on occastion and leaves the ring up!! )
If you leave the seat up sometimes they sit down without looking and just fall right in. Then they're swimming around in piss and feeling disgusting. You don't want that do you?

Saddly I've been trained to put it down..think it has more to do with the dog drinkin' from it or our damn cats takin' a swim. Either way..one less thing to get bitched-out over...and thats always a good thing.

you guys do have pretty big toilets. bigger than here anyways.
"In 1975 Professor Gerba published a scientific article describing the little-known phenomenon of bacterial and viral aerosols due to toilet flushing. The more you learn about it, the scarier it sounds. According to Gerba, close-up photos of the germy ejecta look like "Baghdad at night during a U.S. air attack." The article ominously depicts a "floor plan of experimental bathroom with location of gauze pads for viral fallout experiments." A lot of virus fell on those gauze pads, Gerba found, and a lot of bacteria too. In fact, significant quantities of microbes floated around the bathroom for at least two hours after each flush."
being the man that i am i compelety close it..this way they have to lift it and i don't have to hear they mouth simple plan simple solution and no backhands
Dude, do you seriously get back handed for leaving the seat up???
Do all your mates get that same treatment?
I think its a good idea that you just put it down.

I live with another girl, so when guys come over, it's common curtesy for them to put the seat back down, and I'll give them hell if they don't. but when I'm at a guys house, I won't complain. It's their toilet and their choice.
