he's in the Rookie vs Sophs game and I am guessing he is in the Slam Dunk contest if he has the balls to put himself in front of the world the way Vince Carter did.

It's quite obvious. Coaches are old school fogies who think you have to somehow earn your status over time (which they had to, cause they obviously suck at coaching). That's utter bullshit, if a 19 year old keeps dunking over the rest of the league, making veterans look stupid, he deserves to be in the all-star game, plain and simple. Not to give the fans a break though... (China voted for Yao Ming, along with the rest of the world who doesn't want to see the Lakers win, even though Shaq is the most dominant center in the league). Jamal Magloire? Michael Redd? Steve Francis? Brad Miller? gimme a freaking break. Brad Miller is a goddamn all-star!?!? ... shows how far the league has come.
