I'd say eat less, that's what i am doing now, i am not fat, but i have to lose like 6 kg to get my ideal weight and that's what i am doing now.
( 1 day last week i didn't eat anything, just drank some water and juice, but i wouldnt recommend it )....
oh and do some exercice, it can only help
