It's about the domain itself, and in this particular case, this domain has coherent HIGH value to only ONE individual (the person who offered $3k). No matter what avenue you take, no one will exceed that offer. Why? Because it seems like an end user with a genuine interest in developing his tgp under that name. Thus, no reseller (a la the average domain speculator) would match/exceed that offer, as they're not firmly committed to developing/setting up shop under that domain -- Simply stated, take the offer bro.
