        Battuss, look at Vancouver island, BC, Canada. The weather is as you described, if you don't mind rain you're good to go. From what I hear the cost of living isn't as high as it is in Vancouver, so that might be just what you're looking for.

                    The winters suck, since the euro prices doubled and in some cases trippled..and the more money i make the more the goverment wants from me. All the bills lately are driving me insane.

                                        I doubt you will find a first world country with the freedoms of the Netherllands. Third world countries are a bit of an adventure but if you want a familiar culture and are willing to live on an Island check out the Dutch Antillies or St Maarten

                                                            Those are 2 expensive choices though. I wonder if the Dominican Republic or another cheap island in the Carribean offer enough lifestyle and safety to consider.

                                                                        I live on Vancouver Island and I love it. It might not be 'exotic' but it's very beautiful. Sure it rains some, but we rarely get snow, never freeze our asses off in winter (today it's t-shirt weather), it's not scorching hot in the summer. Very mild, very green, very clean and safe if you have a family. Also, much, much cheaper than living in Vancouver. My home is 2500+ sq ft with a 180 degree ocean and mountain view for just $1250/month cdn. The city I live in is 1 hour by ferry or 20 mins by plane to Vancouver so very close if you crave something more urban once in a while.

                                                                                To my knowledge there is no income tax in the Dutch Antillies, I know there is none in St Maarten. The cost are not too bad and for a Dutch citizen I do not think their are any immigration issues.

                                                                                Prices are tied to the US dollar so they are tied to earnings in this biz.

                                                                                St Maarten is very urbanized but it has both a Dutch and French side and the French side of the island is wonderful.

                                                                                    I've been to Acapulco twice in the past 12 years, and I can say this much..... if you were to live there it would be CHEAP. As soon as you wander away from the touristy areas and into the actual city where people live, you could live like a fucking king even if you're only making a few grand US per month. The standard of living isn't bad either, just that water thing you have to watch out for. Buy bottled water.

                                                                                    Groceries and all that other shit you need to live on are pretty cheap, at least it was when I was there. Fifty USD goes a long way there. I talked to several people who live and work there and gave them an idea of what I made per month at the time and they all said I would have done very well there. I make much more now than I did then.

                                                                                    One of these years I may just "pull a Battuss" and look for somewhere exotic to relocate to. I can live anywhere and still be known as "that damned Canadian". :D
