But following a religion isn't something as trivial as race. Religious positions actually say a lot about people's ideas, and judging people based on their ideas is not stereotyping.

example:
islam. does a muslim from bosnia have as much animosity towards judaism as a muslim from palestine?
no. why? because they interpret islam differently.
so can you judge all of islam based on this one example. do all muslims hate jews?
no. so then you cant stereotype all muslims.
