all great cultures followed religion. religion establishes order and creates the building blocks of a stable society.

marxism/communism tried to abolish religion amongst society and still failed.
All old cultures followed religion because they lacked the scientific knowledge to explain natural phenomena any other way.

But if you look at the influence of the scientific findings of pre-socratic Greek philosophers on religion, it's clear that there is a strong connection between the increase of scientific knowledge and the decrease of religious influences.

If you seriously want to claim that communism failed because it tried to abolish religion, I will point and laugh in your general direction.

to sum up how i feel, i'm tired of people stereotyping people of certain religions. instead of lumping everyone into a whole, they should take the time to educate themselves fully about that religion.
But following a religion isn't something as trivial as race. Religious positions actually say a lot about people's ideas, and judging people based on their ideas is not stereotyping.
