excellent statement Izz.
I try not to take any "religion" as 100% flawless and truthful, choosing to live my life using the stories and lessons to become a better person to deal with as a friend, love interest and neighbor. Things that seem designed to control and profit, to turn me against others because they are of a differant type are thrown out. So I guess one can say I follow more closely the non religions and just live trying to help other good people prosper and make myself happy.
Some religions and ideals leave themselves open for more interpretation, this is where you get into having sects. Obscure and questionable passages that are translated as closely as possible seem to be the things that control these types. They read what they want to read and hear what they want to hear. Funny that their whole argument is based on probably 1/1000th of a document, they throw anything else that conflicts with the bad interpretation out completely, I see the same thing in lots of debates, but in debate it causes you to lose, in religion it causes you to become a leader
