I didn't say it was any MORE or LESS important. I just posted it. This is something that hit me extremely hard and something I had to go thru with my child that hit me even harder. It is extemely important to me, and always will be. Why? Because like so many others, I had the task of explaining to my child what was going on in this crazy, fucked up world, but not many are as candid as I am and will make note of things that they go thru with their children in trying to explain such things. In fact, I can't believe how many I talked to that didn't even talk to their kids about it. I am not saying I am some hero Mom, I am just a mom who cares very deeply where her kids heads are at on such important issues. There were kids my son went to school with that were equally as horrified as mine was and their parents didn't even bother talking to them.
No, MY experience isn't that important to YOU, and I am fine with this, but it was and still is very damned important and meaningful to ME! It was one of the worst days I have had trying to explain things to a little boy that had NO clue what was going on and was trying desperately to understand it.
So, yes, I guess I DID think mine was pretty damned important and deserved it's own thread..... to ME, maybe not to you, but to me it was. What's important to you may not be important to me, and vice versa, but please don't judge me or call me stupid when something is important to me and not to you. It may not be important to ANYONE, for all I know, but it was damned important to ME!! And that, my dear, is why I posted this.
I walked away from this for a minute to think about it, and decided it DID need it's own thread.... to ME!!!
