People don't need billion or even multi-multi-million dollar homes. "The American Dream" creates the mentallity to "be better than your neighbour" which creates waste, hate, and egos.
And to be fair bdjuf, the average IQ is probably relatively normal, it's just there are Americans, like AlienQ, who are loud, obnoxious, and it's seen as a good thing as opposed to people in Canada who always try to be polite, giving, and don't like to bother people too much.
And no, I'm not US-bashing or hating, there's a lot of good there too, it's just people like AlienQ choose to ignore the fact that the bad exist and portray themselves accordingly.
