    linkdump - how is it profitable?

    Can somebody explain to me the point of a link dump and how it's profitable for the owner?

    I see that it's updated daily or instantly with the new links. However they don't require a recip. They are getting traffic from trades I'm assuming which brings clicks to sponsors. But is there anything more than just trades that generate traffic? Is it a nice thing for search engines or something? I think I'm missing something.

    I know that mainstream FFAs are basically to spam you with their marketing schemes.

              Sorry I mean all linkdumps in general. So if you start a link dump, what's the point? To get mass traffic like a TGP?

                  I'm thinking of adding a text tgp to mine. I already have a steady stream of webmasters submitting links. Might as well formalize it a bit.
