          Saw a news blurb about some people using fake parts / body pieces / etc in the "classic / restored" models they sold.

          I don't mean a custom fabricated mirror that replicates the original; it was some scam using junkyard parts from an old pinto put on a restored Buick, or something like that, which made the restored car way less valuable because it didn't conform to the original. Or some shit like that.

          Guess you'd just have to know your cars to be certain what you are getting.
