OK. I am going to go to the Philippines in a few mths. I really don't want to go blonde and be kidnapped or something. Sooooooo I am thinking a hair color change may be the way to go. My question is this: I am very blonde now. If I color it brunette, will it be very difficult to get back to my natural color??? What color do I go with? I have only ever been blonde. Help me out girls!

I have never changed my hair color, I have very very dark brown hair I could never see me blonde but I think the reverse is easier to do. I would go with a very ashy light brown and see how that goes. do a wash out so it is not to perm...good luckSIG TOO BIG! Once you dye your hair, it takes about a year after it grows out to come close to your natural colour. I honestly would leave it be. You will always have to maintain it and you will never get back what you once had...My honest opinion. Take it from me, the queen of the hair dye! LOLAIM sherierocks

The darker you go the more bleaching is needed when you want to change it back to your own color. If you are very blonde (not platinum), you're likely a level 8 or 9, talk to your hairstylist about how a level 7 or so would look on you. That would be brown/blonde. If you went completely brown that's more a level 5. And of course there's all sorts of browns.. red/browns, violet/browns, gold/browns, etc. The problem won't be the color now, but the bleaching when you want to change it back.Originally posted by EpicJen

hey Jen, you going to some exotic Islands here in the PH, like Boracay or Palawan? Such places are the best destination spots tourists stay.
you don't need to color your hair, i know your gorgeous with your blonde look. There's lots of tourist here in the Metro and other places so people here are used to foreigners. PH is a one of the safe heaven and no more issues about kidnapping here.Comment

WOW. So much good info! I agree it would probably be very hard to get it back to my natural color. But honestly I think I am too old for blonde hair now anyway! A wig is a smart possibility though if I chicken out. Thanks everyone. I will most def. post pics if I do go brown!
