Can someone post a link to read about or know what the legal problems would be to own a domain with a celebs name in it. I saw that someone was selling a domain last night like janetjacksonstit.com and for shits and giggles I checked and almost every variation of that was registered in the first half hour after it aired. I could see a domain like janetjackson.com being trouble for porn, but janetjacksonsexposedboob.com (or something like that) too?

depends on if the persons affected by it want to pursue action for exploitation and copyrighted pictures, blah blah blah... i got contacted by gena lee nolin's lawyers just for it...SIG TOO BIG! I play for the fun of it. If you got the Janet Jackson domain and had pics of Janet Jackson and somebody from the Janet Jackson crew (lawers, record company, etc.) found out. Then you might find your self with a letter from her lawyer. I'm not sure what would happen if you had the domain name, but no pics of Janet.
