I use a narrow measure...
If I say his/her name to a "non-biz" person... Do they know who I'm talking about??
e.g. Ron Jeremy, Peter North, Jenna Jameson, etc.
I'd maybe even 'branch out' my def. to someone with her own professional-looking website/fanclub/tour schedule or enough Howard Stern appearances.
Have to have some way to tell the difference between the "Stars" and those who are "in the biz"
