Worse yet is when people are called "evil" for not agreeing on what is the best course for the country.
What the heck is that? Do you people honestly think that someone who disagrees is automatically stupid and evil? Is this your idea of the free exchange of ideas?
I have to admit that I have found this to be particularly prevalent on the left....somehow freedom of speech is ok....as long as you agree. If you don't, then you are an evil moron/sheep. (baa baa).
Having said that, I've seen it coming from the right as well.
Is this what you think constitutes political discussion?
Apparently so, on this board.
...and this is why I've decided to limit my political discussions from now on to mature adults who study the issues and can make a point in a debate without childish labels and insults.
Whether you want to believe it or not, 99.9999% of people all want the best for the country....they just disagree on the best way to get there.

I couldn't agree more. The beauty of this country, or any democracy, is the right to voice your political opinion without the fear of being lambasted. This election year is particularly polarized as noticed in this article... http://theonion.com/news/index.php?issue=4036
