Anyone ever run an investment club or group?

I suggested it on a local board i talk on.

Now it seems i am the leader, and i will have to pick some topics to talk about etc.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Im thinking of getting them all started by leanring basic tech anal.

and then reading various self help books.

Think and grow rich, rich dad poor dad.

Books on succesful traders that sort of thing

Also im thinking that each meeting, we will all have to have one stock to recommend as a buy and hold, and one that they suspect would make a good day trading stock.

Anyone ever done this sort of thing?

If you know what you're doing, invest on your own....avoid all the drama

Not a bad idea, just make sure everyone has the same investment objectives and risk tolerance...

Sort of, I invest people's money for them. Mostly friends and stuff, except they have no say what I do with it. It's the only way to go if you're going to invest for other people. If they have a say in what you invest in, you're fucked, because most people don't know shit about investing or the way the financial markets work. Good luck.
