    they said it was some sort of costume malfunction..... so what he was "supposed" to be tearing off? If you look at her outfit, what else is there to tear off?

What they are saying is he was only supposed to rip off the black part exposing a bra maybe?                                                                                               Thats seems more plausable. That would be going a little far for a stunt to just expose her bare breast , knowing millions of kids will be watching. ( not that there is anything different between that and the E ENTERTAINMENT models showing bare breasts, but i still think they wouldnt have done that on purpose.

                                                                                              She was wearing the nipple ring to accentuate her nipples under the leather. Because they arent allowed to just pull a stunt , everything is choreagraphed and rehearsed ahead of time in front of the cbs exec's so they can give it the green light. The cbs execs take the heat from the fcc , so they have to approve everything.
