Well you know what? I am not going to get in a mess just starting a program of paying more than what I can afford JUST to "keep up with the Jones'", I guess this sounds a bit harsh, BUT with our program being new, I much prefer to start out where we can manage it and then move up from there than I would getting into a situation where I am forced to shut down, or worse, get in over my head and not be able to pay out what I promised.

I realize some aren't going to like this, and I am fine with this, but you'd be surprised at how many that do simply because they see I am not going to risk them or their traffic and money to payout more than we can at this time.

As things grow and start to get better, we can payout more, but in MY head, I can sure as hell RAISE that amount easier and better than I can LOWER it or be out of business in 6 months or less. We only charge the surfer around $25 or so to join the sites, depending on which one it is, not $40 like some do.
We aren't a HUGE program owner...... YET, but as we grow, and get bigger, so will our payouts. We give you what we can without hurting you or us.

I hope that helps you better understand. I just prefer to grow and not crash and burn. Maybe not the best decision to some, but it's what's best if I want to be here next year, which I do.

is that only offering permonth sales and no trials I find this idea hard to see the retention met there the over ratios will be worse
my opinion..the way the payouts are going it will be catching up to the $10 bucks by summer time. then this business isn't worth doing anymore,.. seeing $10 dollars+ the shave from sponsors
=far less money passed on to the webmaster/promoter.. then next year it will be at $5 persignup/sale.. even the internext shows are bombing and webmasters aren't ahowing up anymore? because there being shaved outta business not to mention the government is fucking everyone. too..

Well to be honest with you? We tested those trials inhouse for a little while and to be honest with you, because that's the only way I know to be, the retention sucked ASS!!! We were seeing the same surfers signing up for a trial and then canceling their 3 days trial, then a week or so later, when they knew we had updated, they'd come back and get another 2 day trial and so on, it was horrendous, and we weren't going to allow this......... simply because if they do this 2 or 3 times a month then they are getting a membership for under $12 a month and not renewing to a full month.

NOW, since we have dropped the trials, we haven't seen many cancellations at all, we have had a solid 57% retention with things thusfar. We had ONE site that was getting mad chargebacks and we dropped this site ASAP, why? Because I won't allow my company OR my affiliates to be threatened because of one site, if it isn't cutting it and we can't make it cut it, we drop it. Since that site has been dropped, we haven't seen one chargeback and the cancellations have been slim.

We aren't out to scare the surfer or break them, but at the same time, we want to cater to our webmasters and always let them know we are here for them. Our prices were tested and they are what works for our sites, and if they work for us, then the ratios are going to be better for you, and for the surfers, win/win......

As far as me being the Tam from Liquid, I am not familiar with that program at all, heard of it, but that's about all. I DID work FOR that other place you mentioned, but didn't own it, therefore couldn't control some of the goings on...... I have been in the business for more than 4 years. I worked for WebmasterCommerce, AWESOME Company..... and then with Varadox, ANOTHER bad situation. I learned what NOT to do with those two and when I started this company, and yes it is MINE, and Loch is my partner...... we decided then and there, if we can't run it honestly, we'll shut it down. Knowing full well that SOME of our decisions wouldn't be the MOST popular, we are doing what is best for us and our company, and not screwing the webmaster OR the surfer, this is what's best for us. I don't lie, I don't cheat and I don't bullshit, I am just who I am and that's really all I can tell you. I am NOT a big player, and don't pretend to be, I am just like you, trying to make an HONEST living....
