with the present political climate this is a good question and not to be taken lightly.

you are in now but in a few months you may be out.

        then what?

I think those of you that are sitting back and thinking you don't need an exit strategy in case of failure because you need to "think positive" are being a bit naive.

                    From SBA.G
? The State of Small Business? indicates that 79 percent of new businesses fail within 10 years

i don't have a family to support and i think that counts to feel like i don't give a shit about exit plans or success, i'm here now being a webmaster, who knows where i'll be in the next couple years, i lose interest in things very easily, lately money is the only thing that keeps me going, it's good but boring hehe

just working now towards a self sufficient bussiness, i still think it's possible

i've seen a lot of business men go up and down, seems like that's the way it is unless you're a really big fish, today the glory, tomorrow they're on the ground, but somehow these smart motherfuckers know how to succeed again, guess it's experience and brilliant minds

I worry less about whether or not the industry (in some form or another) will be around in future, and more about whether or not it will still be any fun. If the headaches outweigh the rewards, I'll probably go off sailing for a while before regrouping.

One of the reasons they succeed could very well be because they have an exit strategy. They know how to get out maybe with as little damage as possible and then regroup and attack from a different angle.

People tend to assume the negative when thinking about an exit strategy..it doesn't necessarily mean quitting 100%.

Good point. And my question about an exit strategy is not just for this industry, it's for people's business period...whether it's adult or mainstream.

I've just been reassessing some priorities here, and going back over my business plan and one thing I never took into consideration was an exit strategy for success.
