            been there, done that 2 years ago. patched the linux gnutella client to match wildcards and served .avi/.mpg/.mpeg/.zip/.rar/.exe files.

            you can expect at least 85.000 downloads per day and be prepared to pay for 80 Mbit bandwith. you'll need 3 servers (2GB RAM/ 2 CPUs). 2 will run the clients, one will handle the downloads.
