Here's my advice. If they can accept the fact that he is gay then they probably will not have a problem accepting the person he is dating just because you have a lazy eye. Go ahead and see where this relationship has the potential to go.
On a serious note...I'm glad to see that you are making the first moves to step out of the closet.
