    Do you attend church?

    So...I was at a funeral today and I have to say that I was very uncomfortable sitting in the church. Maybe I should have left the Adult.com jacket and hat at home for this one.

                                          Hubbys family is always trying to get me to go.. last time they succeeded, my youngest hell spawn stabbed me in the arm with a pencil from the pew.. I snatched his ass by stubbs on his shaved head and marched him out the church in front of everyone.

                                          The preacher came outside after us and talked to me like a normal person having a normal conversation and didnt mention a thing about what he just saw..I think he was scared

                                                                                                                                              My parents raised me to make my own choices, and when I was a teen me and my crazy friends became "Born Again". Then I started actually reading the Bible cover to cover and my pastor pretty much told me that the church wasn't for me. He was a very cool Anglican minister guy. So I aced the Confirmation tests, then left. My friends are still kind of with it, but they drink/do drugs/are more promiscuous than me! i guess Jesus loves them anyway

Oh, and about a month ago because a local church was having a special event and my friend told me they were gonna have a killer buffet

I then determined that most of the people that went to church were not good people in their day to day life. I then decided to try to be a decent human every day of the week instead of hoping that 45 minutes every Sunday would do it for me.

                                                                                                                                                                                          I go a few times a year, though I have been avoiding those mass contrition services and I do not take communion (if you are Catholic, you know what I mean when I say that I don't consider myself to be in a state of grace.)

                                                                                                                                                                                          Considering the scandals in most churches (Catholic and otherwise; we just have a really bad publicity agent,) I don't feel so out of place. I just wish the holy water wouldn't burn me when I sprinkle it on my head.

I hated every boring minute of it. I went with my cousins family to their church(pentacostal I think you call it) a couple of times and those fuckers were weird. Talking gibberish and pretending to pass out when "blessed" by the preacher. At 14 or 15 I realized no person knows more about how everthing got here or what's after death than any other person.
