    Is this a phone scam? I think so!

    i got this call and thier like, this is a MasterCard processing bank and we approved you for a card. And then they put me on hold and this chick came on the line and she's like you're over 18, and you have a valid checking account now right? I'm like yes, and she's like, well since we don't pull any type of credit report, we just need to verify you have a valid checking account, she's like, if you have a blank check or void check with you, just read us the bank verification numbers on the bottom, i'm like, "I"M NOT INTERESTED", and I hung up.

    This sounds like a phone scam, although they had my address, and name and everything, except they didn't say if they had my SSN! The bank they said they were with was BankFirst, which Isn't a big bank since I haven't heard of them! Made me wonder!

              Well the chick sounded like a African American! Also, banks that call me have a number that I could see on Caller ID, this didn't!

                  Didnt it become law that telemarketers had to display their info now on caller ID like 2 days ago?

                                  It is a scam....i am to the point now, where is someone calls and wants info, I tell them to leave me their name and # and let me call them back...even if they have all the info in the world for me

                                  you would not believe how many people hang up or say they can't leave their # once I say that

                                          Yea, usually when it is a telemarker I hang up, but I thought this was one of my Banks calling me, then when she said I was approved is when I knew it was BS!
