It's official, we just got back. You can buy pot over the counter now and it's tolerated.
They must be doing some huge money there as it was quite busy. If you're in the area it's well worth dropping in for the entertainment value. -

I'm giving it a week seeing there is so much media attention on it right now. It's not even run under the pretense of really being a cafe, there is no food or coffee just bongs and pot. One thing I noticed is that they are not collecting taxes. Illegal goods or not, neglecting to collect taxes in Canada will bring a shitstorm down.
It was very cool to just be able to walk in and buy what you want tho. Nice atmosphere there.Comment
