Well they have had that for a while. But no doubt, Google will move out of the 'search' league fairly quickly. They will still try and relate it back to 'Search' somehow (like email), but there is no doubt that they have a lot of room to grow. -

google acquired Picasa from idealab, the business incubator, right before IPO. (idealab does it again - genius) these guys are the ones who raised $1 BILLION+ dollars during the bubble. idealab is also responsible for flipping overture to yahoo. and they have more planned. so idealab has a stake in yahoo and google if you think about it. I receive their quarterly reports, because I flipped something to them in the past. they also have a powerful email/desktop search tool called X1 , which may be competing with or will be acquired by someone. idealab was also responsible for flipping: Commission Junction, HomesDirect, DotTV, Paypal, etc and they also own a stake in clearstone venturesComment
