It's all about the hunt and propogation of the species.
Women make themselves more "attractive" to let the men know they're fantastic breeding stock. Tease and flirt to let the guy know that breeding is a distinct possibility.
Men pretend they're rich and can "provide" for the offspring of any breeding. They sweet talk the woman and pretend they give a shit so the woman will want to breed with them.
Once the woman gets the "cash" and the man gets laid it's game over. Once you understand the realities things become so much "easier".
