    Recommend a compact digital camera?

    The wife want's a small pocket size digital camera for Christmas and I think it's a good idea. We never carry our larger Canon around. Can anyone recommend a good camera that will fit in a shirt pocket? Might as get a photo printer too.

      If you're already used to Canon, grab one of the Digital Elphs, great camera and very small and affordable.

      Second choice would be one of the small Sony's.

          Best Ive found out there is Nikon Coolpix s1 takes up less room in my back pocket than my wallet. 5.1 MP. Takes a very nice picture, lots of features. Simple to use.

                              I haven't bought a pocket camera in a while.....but make sure you check if it
                              can make pictures fast.......with a lot of the cheaper cams if you push the
                              button.....it takes up to seconds before the pic is taken......usually you end
                              up with pics that suck since it goes off too late

                                  Just an advice about small cams, always check the power of the flash especially if you are going to take pics at night. The mini cams are great but their flash is weak so the pics at night come out really dull.
